Critical Installation Requirements

Proper prep is essential for long-term adhesion.

No Ceramic Coatings

Door skins will not adhere to ceramic-coated interior panels.

Avoid Silicone Products

Do not use Armor All or silicone cleaners before install.

Surface Preparation

Clean panels using:

1. Heavy-duty degreaser

2. Follow with rubbing alcohol

Panels must be completely oil-free. If the surface still looks shiny, it is not clean enough.

Post-Heat Required

After installation, all areas must be post-heated to 185°F to activate the adhesive bond.

This is a required step.

If you are not comfortable performing heat-set vinyl installs, we recommend having a professional vinyl shop complete the installation.
