3rd Gen 4Runner TRD Grille Fit for 1996-2002 Models

This is a really cool idea and looks great. With that being said I was very disappointed in how the whole thing turned out. First the grill came broken when I initially got it with one of the brackets being broken. Thankfully I ordered it in time to send it back and get it replaced the customer service was great and they even hooked me up with some extra stuff when they sent back the “fixed” grill. When I gave it to my boyfriend for Christmas he immediately noticed that the new grill was messed up. One thing was that some of the screws that hold the grill together are stripped out causing the grill to be flimsy. Another issue he caught was that the longer mounting brackets did not have holes all the way through them to enable the clips to hold it to the car. At this point it was out of the return window so we were stuck with it. He was able to get the grill on using zip ties for the brackets that were not properly manufactured and cut which is unacceptable. Another thing that was very frustrating about this whole process is that the instruction sets were all the same across the 3 generations of 4 runners but were only true for the 4th generation. Which made the install very confusing. Another issue was that the wiring for the Toyota emblem was way to short to reach the battery and fuse box. Another issue was that there was only one provided fuse for the two sets of lights so I had to cut the main line to wire the emblem to the raptor lights so they could both turn on and off with the headlights which was a very frustrating process. Another issue I faced with this product was that one of the raptor lights fell apart as soon as it was picked up out of the box so now there are only two working ones on the grill. This was very disappointing because I expected a lot more and the lack of attention to detail and cheaply made parts from this company is very disappointing. You spend so much money and even extra money expecting good quality and good products but it doesn’t work like advertised very disappointing.

So I had originally posted a bad review on the grill for a 2002 forerunner. This was my second grill and it seemed like the quality had gone way downhill. Jordan from 4R customs reached out after I left a bad review and wanted to know what they could do to make it right. They sent a complete new grill assembled and everything seems to work and fit perfectly. The customer service is matched by no one so thank you for that and thank you for making things right. I would highly recommend this grill if you want your forerunner to be the best looking one in town.

So far so good. Good quality! Let's see how it holds up through some harsh mountains and snow after 1 year.

First of all I want to say, Thank you very much for the experience, communication, ordering, and shipping. Everything was great especially the communication, couldn't have been better. Everything was delivered except missing the badge but no a big deal, because they got it shipping once I noticed it was missing. Will buy again for future orders.

The grill looks awesome.. There was a miscommunication. These guys were professional about it and always replied fast and made things right. You don't get that kind of service anymore. They are about their customers and not just to make an extra buck. Will buy from them again.

Everything good except for receiving wrong emblem, (replacement was sent through priority mail)

Little on the expensive side for this grill but I do not regret buying it at all. It looks great on my 4runner. So stoked how it looks. My old chrome grille was all broken and I wanted the Toyota in grey lettering so I opted for this. Installs a easily like the OEM grille & looks awesome. I would give it a 5 stars but the quality of the plastic overall doesn’t seem that great. Also it could be just because it’s a matte finish but the finish on the grill scratches VERY easy. I was working on my truck and I accidentally slipped a flat head small screwdriver out of my hand and it scratched it pretty good. Just something to be aware of. . Other than that I can recommend this grille. Overall very happy with it & this grille will definitely make your 4runner look awesome too
